Prior to joining Coughlin Betke, Courtney worked as a prosecutor in Florida where she conducted nearly thirty jury trials.  After a move to the Northeast, she worked for civil litigation defense firms in New York and Connecticut where she specialized in medical malpractice defense, general liability defense, municipal matters, professional liability claims, and general litigation claims.  At Coughlin Betke, Courtney works in all aspects of civil litigation, mainly within the Connecticut State and Federal Courts.

 

Courtney earned her law degree in 2015 from the University of Connecticut School of Law, where she participated in multiple mock trial competitions and was on the Connecticut Insurance Law Journal. Prior to attending U.  Conn Law, she attended the University of South Florida and graduated in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in Criminology and Psychology.

 

Courtney has performed volunteer work as a Guardian ad Litem advocating on behalf of abused and neglected children and pro bono work with the Holocaust Art Restitution Project.  She is admitted to practice in the States of Connecticut, New York, and Florida as well as the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut.
